The farm has been founded in the early twentieth century by Domenico Leonardi: it is the oldest of Montefiascone, a village in "alta Tuscia" which overlooks the Bolsena lake. At the beginning of the '50 Carlo and Giorgio Leonardi carried on the father's activity expanding the farm.

Today, at the third generation, Ugo and Maria Vittoria Leonardi, according to the new trends, have modernized the farm giving it the present look. At the moment the winery has new machineries, new structures and vineyards, and it has the product's quality and the relaunch of the own territory as goals.

The new 24 hectares vineyard (450 meters high at sea level), lies on the hills surrounding the volcanic lake of Bolsena: here there are international and native vineyards. The "ancient winery" has further 11 hectares in the district of Graffignano in the borders of Umbria.
