The “Casamara Winery” is located on a two-hundred-metres-high hill with an overall view of Rome and of Tuscolo hills.
The main production is the wine Frascati Doc Superiore, with a small production of red and Cannellino wines and quite a big quantity of olive oil.
The “Tenimento Casamara”, located on the land having the same name, if formedby an ancient farmhouse belonging the 17th century, which had been built on the ruins of a Roman “vicus” belonging to the 1st Century B.C. and situated near the a water main “Anio Novus”.
All over the garden it is possible to admire many ancient ruins found in the place.
The farmhouse ha an extension of about 2000 square metres, with an ancient wine cellar, belonging to the first part of the 20th Century, where the wine is still made with modern techniques.
In the “Azienda vitivinicola Tenimento Casamara” there is the possibility of tasting the wines of the farm with some “bruschette” (grilled bread with oil and tomato) and typical cakes of the area.
It is also possible to buy bottles of wine.
